Location: Altadena, CA
Purpose:
This long-term residential program is tailored for Latino men recovering from substance use disorder who have also experienced displacement or trauma from the Eaton Fire. The program provides a culturally responsive, structured living environment with wraparound support for 6 to 12 months.
Core Components:
24/7 access to safe, sober housing in fire-impacted Altadena neighborhoods
Structured daily routines with spiritual integration (Catholic, indigenous, or personal traditions)
Onsite and community 12-Step meetings, relapse prevention support
Case management focused on FEMA/CalOES benefits, mental health referrals, and healthcare access
Trauma-informed care sessions and fire-related grief support
Life skills training including nutrition, budgeting, and household responsibilities
Transportation assistance to medical, legal, and employment services
Bi-monthly goal reviews and discharge planning
Outcome:
Residents will leave with long-term sobriety support, financial stability, fire recovery resources, and a secured transition to permanent housing.
