Roots and Resilience

Location: Altadena, CA

Purpose:

This transitional program is for sober residents who have completed initial recovery and need long-term assistance reentering the workforce, reestablishing housing, and rebuilding their lives after fire displacement.

Core Components:

Transitional sober housing in newly purchased or renovated Altadena properties

Employment readiness coaching, job placement, and ongoing career mentoring

GED/ESL programs, community college access, and trade certification partnerships

Financial literacy, savings plans, and credit rebuilding sessions

Ongoing therapy or group processing for trauma, PTSD, and fire-related anxiety

Access to public benefits, legal aid, and housing navigation

Monthly progress evaluations and individualized independence planning

Outcome:
Graduates will achieve employment or school enrollment, create a savings cushion, and transition into stable housing with a long-term support network in place.
